The Gift of Gentle Mornings

Hath Restore 3 Alarm Clock

Sunrise Mornings

There was a time when my mornings began with urgency instead of gratitude.

Before my feet ever touched the floor, I was already thinking about meetings, deadlines, phone calls, emails waiting to be answered, and whether I was going to make it everywhere on time. Before the day had even begun, I felt as though I was already behind.

But somewhere along the way, I realized something.

The way we wake often becomes the way we live the rest of the day.

If we begin our mornings anxious, hurried, and overwhelmed, it's easy for those feelings to follow us into the afternoon. But when we wake with peace, gratitude, and the expectation that something beautiful is waiting for us, everything feels just a little different.

I wanted mornings that felt less like an emergency and more like an invitation.

An invitation to breathe.

An invitation to stretch.

An invitation to welcome the day with joy instead of anxiety.

That's exactly why I fell in love with the Hatch Restore sunrise clock.

Rather than jolting me awake with the harsh sound of an alarm, it slowly fills the room with a warm sunrise while gentle birdsong begins to play. It doesn't feel like being pulled from sleep. It feels as though the morning is quietly welcoming you.

Those first few minutes have become something I genuinely look forward to. Before checking my phone. Before opening my laptop. Before the coffee.

Because I've learned that beautiful days often begin with beautiful mornings.

One recent girls' trip reminded me just how much our mornings matter.

My sister and I were traveling with our beloved Aunt Tricia when, out of nowhere, her phone alarm erupted with someone singing at the top of their lungs at six o'clock in the morning.

Now, I love music. You know I do.

But not before coffee... unless it's Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, or Sarah Vaughan gently singing me into the day.

This was... not that.

My sister and I practically jumped out of bed while Aunt Tricia frantically tried to silence her phone.

I get it.

She's old school.

Love you anyway, Aunt Tricia.

But really? 😂

The moment the room became quiet again, I looked at her and said, "You need a Hatch."

We all laughed, but I wasn't joking.

There's something wonderfully civilized about waking to a gentle sunrise instead of a blaring ringtone. It changes your mood before you've even taken your first step. Rather than beginning the day feeling startled, you begin it feeling rested, hopeful, and ready for whatever comes next.

I've discovered that changing how we wake has a remarkable way of changing how we live.

Sometimes the smallest rituals become the most meaningful ones.

For me, the gift isn't simply a sunrise clock.

It's the gift of gentle mornings.

⚠️ Warning: May Cause Happier Mornings.

If you'd rather wake up to a beautiful sunrise and birds singing than an alarm that sounds like it's announcing the end of the world, this one comes highly recommended by Toast of the Season.
